Who Participates in Aish Essentials?
Aish Essentials drop in classes are open to Jews of all ages and backgrounds who have an interest in learning more about their heritage and spiritual tradition. Our 3-week immersive program is aimed at Jewish men between the ages of 18 and 30, with a variety of classes for different ages and experience levels with different subject matters.

Where do the classes take place? All classes take place in the Essentials Room at the Aish HaTorah World Center overlooking the Western Wall. See more about our campus here.
How much does the program cost? The program costs $1,000 plus flights for the entire 3-week program. However, many participants come on a partial scholarship, which can reduce the program cost to as little as $600 including flights. Contact us for more information.
Do I have to pay for the included day trips? Most trips are included at no extra charge.
When do the classes take place? Are there classes every day? Classes are from 9:00 to 1:00 and 3:00 to 6:00 Sunday through Thursday. Afternoon class schedules can be flexible.
Is there a dress code? There is no dress code. You're welcome to express yourself freely in the program.
Are there learning opportunities other than the Essentials Program? Further study opportunities are available, and the location where Aish Essentials takes place is also home to Aish’s main yeshiva.
Is there flexibility in the schedule? What if I have other obligations in Israel? The Essentials Program schedule has some minimal flexibility in the day, and you will have most evenings to spend how you choose.
Will I have free time during the program? The Essentials Program schedule is packed with inspiring activities but also allows students enough free time each day to address various needs and curiosities.
Am I responsible to find my own housing and meals during the program? We provide housing (dorms) and food for the entire program.
